Our Mission
At Huntzman Enterprises, our mission is to create high-quality custom patches, challenge coins, and collectible insignia that honor service, tradition, and identity. We combine authentic experience with precision craftsmanship to deliver products that represent law enforcement, military, fire service, and collector communities with accuracy and respect.
The history of Huntzman started back in 1992, when a co-worker asked for help in designing a new patch for the NYPD Marching Band. Then, in 2002, in the aftermath of the 9/11 terror attacks, Huntzman Enterprises was officially created by Nancy Nelson, as a full-service insignia design company. Since then, she has guided the company, as it has created hundreds of items, including patches, pins, challenge coins and other items for police, fire and military agencies around the globe.
Our Origins
Huntzman Enterprises was founded by professionals who wore the uniform and understand what insignia represents beyond decoration. From the earliest days, our focus has been on accuracy, symbolism, and craftsmanship — ensuring that every patch, coin, or collectible reflects the pride and heritage of the organization it represents.
This firsthand experience shapes every design decision we make, from color selection and layout to materials and production methods. After twenty years, Huntzman Enterprises has become a name that is synonymous with quality.

The History of the Name
What's in a name ? - Over the years, many people have asked about the origins of the name: Huntzman. Back in the mid 90's, when the Internet was still in it's infancy, one of the co-founders, Andrew Nelson, was a detective assigned to the NYPD's elite Intelligence Division. As part of his protection assignment, he was often tasked with flying aerial surveillance of digntary motorcades with the Department's Aviation Unit. During these assignments the radio call-sign was: HUNTSMAN. When he went to create an email account, he decided to use this unique name, but it was already taken. Not wanting to select something less meaningful, he opted to switch the letter S for a Z, and Huntzman was created. When it came time to name the company, it seemed a natural fit.
